
BMW is the main automotive sponsor of this summer's Olympic games in London. They will be participating in the event with a massive fleet of vehicles its providing to the organizers.
They will be furnishing the London Organizing Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) with 4,000 vehicles. It will be made up of diesel, hybrid and electric cars, plus motorcycles and bicycles. LOCOG has set a low CO2 target for the event, with each vehicle averaging less than 120g of cO2 per kilometer.
The first 40 have already been delivered and it includes examples of the 520d and 320d. Now a hundred more times of that amount to go.
