Auto Express reports the new Maserati GranSport may just be fitted with a twin turbo V6 engine for more than 450hp. Designed by Ferrari, the engine will show up in a range over the other models. Paired with a seven speed dual clutch transmission, the engine should have no trouble being the boss around the track.

Tthe GranSport will be based roughly on the Alfa Romeo 4C above. It suggests that Maserati will work to keep the chassis fairly light with a target curb weight of 2,600 pounds. Though, we won't be seeing anything just yet until sometime in 2015 or later.
