Porsche's highly anticipated 918 Spyder hybrid plug in supercar is teasing us with a couple of prototypes. Now, car spies have caught a race themed 918 Spyder featuring the so called "Martini Hippie" and No12 decals on the doors and hood.
There are still parts of the car that are covered up but from what we can see there are three round gauges and center console with a large LCD touch screen in the model, remaining true to the concept.
The Porsche 918 Spyder sports a plug-in hybrid driveline that links a mid-mounted, 4.6-liter V8 with more than 570PS (+562hp) and a 7-speed dual clutch transmission to a pair of electric motors for a combined system output in excess of 770PS (+762hp).
The German automaker says the production model will be good for a 0-100km/h (62mph) sprint time of less than 3 seconds and a top speed of over 320km/h (+200mph), while also lapping the Nürburgring Nordschleife in under 7:22 minutes.
