How many people actually skip the test drive when they buy a car? Are there even people who aren't really bothered about it? Turns out there is, according to Maritz Research anyway. The
study, surveyed over 80,000 people who had bought 2012 model year vehicles, and the final tally of those who didn't take a test drive was 11.4 percent, according to the report.
While this survey does not necessarily represent most people elsewhere around the world, it does imply that 80 percent of consumers these days are doing their car research on the Internet.
Nonetheless, we still think that getting in the car and out on the road and experiencing the drive yourself is an important deciding factor to whether or not you should buy the car you're testing out. But if you're completely fine, and / or, super cash rich, we guess it's ok.
